A Taste of Thai is located at the north end of Twin Falls, just across the Snake River bridge as you come into town from IH-84. It is located in a strip shopping center, but the interior is much more elegant than the typical “hole in the wall” Thai place.
I really was not expecting the food to be as flavorful and authentic as it turned out to be. Located next to the Dell Computer service center, this may be a reason the food caters to a sophisticated palate. (I happen to like Dell, not only because it is headquartered in Texas, but also because the service center helped me with my computer when I walked in after eating at A Taste of Thai).
The Phad Khing (ginger tofu) was among the best I have tried. Coming from the Southwest, this was one of my first experiences of being served a “house” jasmine tea (brewed in a large batch and served free with a meal). It also proved to be one of many very good Thai meals I had in the Northwest.
Note: I went on a Sunday, but it is now closed on Sundays.
