I talked to some residents of Astoria who indicated that Hong Kong was the best Chinese restaurant to be found in the city. This may be true–I not only enjoyed my meal, but the food was better than I normally find outside major metropolitan areas.

I was disappointed in the menu selection for vegetarian dishes, but I was able to get a vegetable dish that had a very good flavor. The hot and sour soup was also very good.

The restaurant seems to specialize in fish dishes. It has a good selection of spicy, Hunan style dishes, but mostly with meat or seafood.
